The act of meditation allows you to make conscious contact with Spirit and to regain the power of intention. It is through meditating that we open ourselves to what is in our hearts. Meditation itself is the practice in which we train our minds into realization and focus our thoughts inward to develop our abilities to forgive, love, give and to have patience and compassion. It can also be useful in recharging our life force or energy levels. Through thoughtful breathing and concentration, you can relax your mind and let go of feelings of anger, resentment, sadness and anxiety.
Meditation does take a lot of practice, so it is usually easier to start with guided meditation audio or videos. Also, putting on calm music, lighting candles and trying to sit still are good ways to start out.
Affirmation for Today:
I sit in the calm and focus on my inner most thoughts. I am at peace within myself and seek to balance my energy so that I may be of the highest good to
myself and to others.
Prayer for today:
Thank you, Spirit, for helping me to sit in silence and to have the patience to just be for a few moments. Thank you for allowing me to recharge my intentions through the power of prayer and meditation.
